I was in Iowa June 6-7-8 to videotape a wedding. It was there that I met the most genuine people in the world. I would describe Iowans as clear-headed, kind, curious, hard-working, and value driven. Their distractions included BBQ’s, park concerts, family, church, the weather, and the like. When I departed Iowa on Sunday, June 8 to head back to the Twin Cities, Ken and I maneuvered our way through the encroaching waters and of what would become the flood of all floods to Iowans. My heart goes out to those who suffer. My heart gives thanks to those who shared a piece of yourself with my camera. To the people of Iowa, I salute you. (Footnote: the bride and groom spent the day after their wedding sandbagging.)

“Minnesota Made”: We are seeking to videotape, for FREE, stories about Minnesota people creating ’home grown and locally made marvels’! This first will center on ‘favorite family recipes and stories’!
First, here’s the background on how this ‘shout out’ innocently began…
Please…Write in and share with us your family’s favorite recipe; it’s origin; the author; what culture is represented; what town you live in; the story, etal. If your cooking story is selected, we will come a knocking on your door to videotape the culinary experience and air your piece!
In return for your generousity, you will receive a DVD of the experience and continue to add to your family history library!
